Oh my. If you don't have internet friends, you should really go get some, because they are the awesomest people ever. Not the stalkers, the nice ones, of course. They are super lovely and give you nice presents for no reason! I came home from SD to find a package on my doorstep from the lovely and talented Maria. It was no ordinary gift. It was a "Best of the Replacements" cd and letterpress cards with my name on them. There was a note that simply said, "I know you have been wanting this cd." Gosh. And it's not even my birthday! Doesn't it just make you want to give her hugs?In an effort to pay forward this generosity, I revive the great justJENN giveaway tradition. Seeing as how I will be busy all week cooking for this shower, I'm assuming blog postings will be few. (Yeah right, I never shut up.) There is absolutely NO shame in being a Duran fan...in fact I still am and one of the best moments to happen in my life was just a year and a half ago when I finally met Nick Rhodes (for 3 seconds) and shook his hand!
Okay, for a secret...as a child I accidentally stepped on a baby bird that my friends and I had "rescued" and brought into the house. Devastating for an animal lover like me.

ooh - i can do a secret! this is of course duran related. In the 7th grade myself and 3 friends stood in front of Longs Drugs in Mililani and petitioned to get Duran to come to Hawaii.

I'm going with the nickname thing -my nickname is Bigil. The reason for this? About 10 years ago, when name necklaces were big over here my sister Roxanne somehow ended up with two. She decided she only wanted 'Rox' on the necklace, whereas I wanted 'Abigail' rather than my usual 'Abby' (this was pre-librarian days). So, my sister donated the A's, which meant I had to go to the shop to buy... B, I, G, I, L. Bigil! My sister laughed at this for about a week and to this day I am still known as Bigil. I even get post addressed to Bigil. Oh dear.

Just saying hi - your blog is funny some days, inspiring others, and although I don't read often (especially when I'm on dial-up internet) I enjoy it every time I do.
Well, it's proll'y too late to enter the Contest, but I did want to tell you... You got me soooo hooked on The Office! I read over and over how much you love the show and a couple of months ago, I finally watched it, and died laughing. Now I got my husband hooked and we're taping all the reruns this summer!
