Holy sugar-high, Batman!
CONTEST!?!? Say wha? Info below...

What is scarier than Vegan cookies? Nothing, frankly. Cause a world without butter and eggs is no world I want to live in. However, you do make compromises for love. And seeing how the Kid seems to still have an aversion to dairy, well – you get the picture. So I told him I wanted to make Halloween cut out cookies and he declared that BATS were the way to go.
Here is a Vegan gingerbread cookie recipe that I got from 'the post punk kitchen'. It's pretty darn good, and holds up against a standard gingerbread recipe any day.

Vegan Gingerbread Cut-out Cookies
Then I modified it and made Vegan chocolate cookies, for…ice cream sandwiches. You heard me. See how I snuck dairy in there? Well, you can always put Tofutti in between instead. Hey, your call.
Vegan Chocolate Cookies (for 'ice cream' sandwiches)
SO – I haven’t done a CONTEST in quite a while, but here is your chance to win a bag of each of these tasty treats. (Ice cream not included of course.) Just leave a comment in this post, uh, tell me your favorite food, or recipe you'd like to try? Or not. Just say hi. That's it! You have until Friday, good luck!

I guess I should check out the glory of vegan baked goods. Seems to be such a trend these days. I always assume they are dry. Yeah, I'm an ass.
Is that Lactaid in that there cup? :)
That recipe sounds really yummy!
Oy. The last thing my butt needs is a bag of cookies, but they do look delicious. I will have to put that recipe aside for xmas.
I've never won one of your contests so here I am trying again. I want those cookies!
I'm in! And I want Kid or Kid2 to deliver them to me! :)
I loved the cookies I won in the spring, so I'm not sure if that eliminates me from this contest or not. I have to say my favourite cookie recipe is old school sugar cookies that I usually make for at Christmas time. I did find some little mini-halloween cookie cutters, so I was thinking of making them early this year.
Oh, and hi!
I watched an episode of post punk kitchen on the old internet this week, whilst doing my ironing. How's that for post punk? Also, mmmmm vegan cookies...
Those cookies sure look yummy and I love the milk glass with feet! How can I lobby for my free cookies??? Okay here goes:
1) I made your mochi chicken and my 2-yr old, husband and I loved it! Anything the 2-yr old will eat is a wonderful thing.
2)I made your shoyu tofu gohan and that was delicious and super easy in the rice cooker. It's my sure bet dinner now when I have nothing else planned.
3)I'm orignially from Hawaii and now in Los Angles and can totally relate to your horrors of Hawaii heat, the awfully slow speed limits and nothing to do (but eat of course)
The ice cream sandwiches look good! :P
I make your smokies with bacon all the time, especially for parties.
Everyone loves 'em!
Yum! Currently, my favorite snack is peanut butter and jelly (raspberry) sandwiches with 2 slices of cheddar in the middle. It's my weird pregnancy craving and it is SO good.
Also dairy free and have been slowly experimenting with vegan foods. Would love to actually find a recipe for vegan cheese cake that tastes good!
Barring that ... a bag of vegan gingerbread sounds yummy.
hey jenn-
love, love gingerbread anything (well maybe not gingerbread meat, but everything else) and I did make your pumpkin choco muffins and linked it on my site(and pretty much ate most of it myself). and i'm all for vegan cookies, although you just have to say cookies and i'm in.
Just in case...
i'm hoping my little baby isn't allergic to dairy -- she's getting a rash on her face and i've been eating tons of ice cream sandwiches...we'll see....
so far i've only made the broken glass jello and mini fritattas...both were good!
What a great day to check your blog! A contest day!
Screw the ice cream. If they're cookies, I'm there. Now let me win!
Listen chaps and chappesses, it's time for some straight talking: they're biscuits, alright? Cookies are only ever eaten by Cookie Monsters. Biscuits, on the other hand are consumed in atrocious quantities in our household.
Ah, the problems of translation. It took me ages to work out why, in a previous entry, Jenn wrote about losing her pants at the drycleaners. That was one story that really didn't travel well
I thought we had a strict no british rule over here?
It's pumpkin season, and it's *always* chocolate season...I think I will try to make pumpkin choc chip cookies next!
At least use a capital B, there's a good fellow.
I'm making those pumpkin/chocolate chip cookies for next week.
A recipe I want to try....mostly my big search has been for the best barbeque sauce. I also really need to find a glutin-free fruitcake recipe. Honest to goodness I do. It's for my dad.
i like cookies.
omg, you picked friday the 13th!
HOW cute!
