We've known each other. For so long.

Normally I think April Fool's Day is lame. But seeing as how I was at home sick - I didn't really have to deal with it, except on the internet. I got some April Fool's Day link love for my cupcakes, which was nice - and got Rick Rolled, plenty. And lemme tell you, if Rick Rollin' is wrong, baby, I don't want to be right.

I've made no secret about my Rick Astley love. This button has been hanging in my garage since the day I moved in. I don't know why either, I think I just stuck it on the corkboard next to the broom and then forgot about it.Then, yesterday, on April Fool's Day of all days, I was cleaning and packing up old boxes and found this!!!!I wish you could see the date on this faded pencil sketch -I drew it in 1988. What the. That was 20 years ago. Cracked my ass up. I laughed so hard when I pulled it out of the box.

I remember taking art class and sketching album covers in different mediums. This was taken from this one on the left. I also did a Sting album cover in inks, and a George Michael one in charcoal. Ah, the 80s. And yes, when I say album, I mean vinyl. It's all I had.

In conclusion, if all April Fool's Days from now on, are dedicated to Rick Astley? I will celebrate with glee. But if Muppets are more your thing...

Also, you can hear it straight from Rick himself on what he thinks about the whole Rick Rolling phenomenon.

I thought I was one of the only one's to actually *like* being rickrolled. Glad to know there's a fellow carni around these parts. ;)

I have the Rick Astley button that you gave me like 15 years ago on display in our home office. And I got so many emails today from people that I haven't heard from in like 20 years about yesterday's youtube rickrollin due to my avid fanliness.

BTW, did you realize George Michael is back on tour around here? When he's not on Eli Stone, that is...

I'm not going to give you any more crap about this since you are going to see Duran Duran with me. You'll see.

I, too, am a huge Rick Astley fan. I saw him in concert at Great America. He danced behind a screen so we could only see his shadow. When he came out he was wearing a white suit and a pink shirt. I screamed, "I LOVE YOU RICK!" because I was a total freaking dork like that.

And I am not ashamed.

omg, i was going to fly up to see Duran with my friend Nonnahs but just thinking about taking money from the kids college fund to see the man who broke my heart (J.T. of course) seems wrong.

I wasn't a huge Astley fan but for some reason I still have his vinyl in my collection. Totally forgot about that one!
