Smell my feet. Give me something good to eat.
If you haven't already done so, email me your address if you want a postcard...
So what became of those little Vegan bats? Well, I turned them into Trick or Treat Cupcakes. They were a HUGE hit at the kid's school, where I took them to the Halloween parade.
The Baby was super excited about being a dino. Meanwhile, my one regret of not posting pictures of my kids (EVER) is that the Kid dressed as the most emo Indiana Jones you've ever seen. Dude, was he sad. He waved his 'musical' whip around so half heartedly, you'd think it was playing Death Cab for Cutie out of that thing. Once the parade was over though, he was all smiles. Not one for flaunting, that kid.
Was it just me or did Halloween seem like a bust this year? In years past the streets seemed full and the candy flowed like water. But this year? We walked two blocks and the kids were over it. 2/3 of the houses DIDN'T have their lights on, so the whole thing kinda blew. It was like we were just walking but with no payoff. In the middle of it the Kid said, "I'm going to get a heart attack from all this walking." He truly is my child. That's it. Next year we're going on Segways.

A heart attack? That's hysterical. Your kids crack me up.
I was so mortified that not only did we not decorate our yard this year, but we kept our lights off too. We were prepping for the drive-in we were doing and left the house by 7:30 anyway. I was sure we'd come back to find our house egged or TP'ed, but no. I did reverse Trick-or-Treat to the drive-in attendees. I went around and gave them all candy!
I agree about the letdown. I posted about the same thing. Missing the crowded streets and all the costumes.
It has been like that around here for the past couple years. Last year we had a total of about 6 roups of trick or treaters, this year there were about 4. Sad really.
My dauhter dressedd up as Baby Bop when she was about 3. They look so cute when they walk and the tail swings!
Yeah. Halloween was rather lackluster this year. I was so not into it. I tried to be but it seemed like the rest of the world wasn't either.
My little 3 eyed monster was a hit in his costume. :)
P.s. Super cute Tricerotops!
