Clean
The cleanest I've been

I reaaaally hate messes. I know, I know I am super-anal crazy about cleanliness. I mean, the best part of being laid off means that I can vacuum twice a day instead of just once. Pathetic, I know.

I know it's impossible to stay clutter free with two kids under 5, but still. It drives. me. nuts. But see, I too love toys, and books and all that junk, I just...like it organized. And I've told the kids clean up your toys or Mommy's gonna lose it...So I lost it.

When the kids came home it looked like this:

The Kid cried and I laughed (I'm sorry, it was funny!) but I didn't throw the table away, sheesh! I simply cleaned it up, moved it to the kids bedroom and VOILA, clean space.

If only it were that easy. There were things to wipe down, old toys to throw away (don't tell them) and moving that damn train table up and down a whole flight of stairs BY MYSELF. Whew. But now I have a free living room and the kids have a pseudo playroom. And you know what? They love it. And they play quietly together in there for hours. Ahh...stress and mess, free. I'll just roll around in this empty space for a while. But wait. Hang on...I have to vacuum it again.

something in my head snapped not long after I had my 5 year old, and I am the same way with the clutter. I turn into a psychopath when things get out of hand :) For that reason alone you would think my kids would pick up after themselves...

Well, here's hoping that you will be a good influence on the boys and when they grow up and potentially live with a partner, spouse, whatever that you will have been a good influence. I wish my mother-in-law had been as mess intolerant as you! ; )

I'm the same way....so that mess that you posted up there ^ was nothing compared to the one that was in my basement just before I moved this week. And left behind for my ex to deal with when he moves back in. Hey - in all fairness he did say he wanted half of their toys and their stuff. So I left him 90% and it was all over the floor. Almost better than leaving shrimp tails in the curtain rods.

Can't believe you carried the train table! I know how heavy and bulky it is bc I put son's together! You are superwoman! How desparate were you to get rid of the mess :)
