Happy 90th birthday
Today is a big day.
It's O.G.'s 90th birthday.
90 years is a long time. She's seen a lot of things. Pulled out of college only to be forced to live in the horse stables at the Santa Anita race track, then put into an internment camp. The depression, war, births, deaths - she's been through a lot.
I can't remember a time when she wasn't there for me. We've spent many years eating tacos together and disagreeing.
I can tell you that I'm sure the highlight of her 90 years was finally getting a college diploma...70 years late. The other highlight of her life is giving me a hard time. Happy birthday O.G.

My grandmother celebrates her 85th birthday next month. We're going to the ballet. We're going for 'sophistication' this year.
We won't be able to achieve it, but it's fun to try.
